Application Deadline: Sunday, November 16, 2018
Snow sculpture is a perennial favourite at the Silver Skate Festival. Teams of 2-3 artists transform 8-ft high, 8-ft wide and 8-ft deep blocks of snow into magical creations. When they are finished, eight artworks create an ephemeral sculpture garden for audiences to enjoy for the duration of the festival.
Although we think that all snow artists are winners (each year, the sculptures are universally dazzling), spectators can vote for their favourites. At our Everyone's a Winner Ceremony, we announce our People's Choice and Artist's Choice winners.
The Snow Sculptures will be up for the duration of the festival and we invite you to take a peek at your leisure.
