7th Annual Cessco International Snow Sculpture Symposium

In our mind every snow artist at the festival is a winner and  the diverse range of high quality snow sculpture produced each year makes judging an impossibly subjective exercise.  This years event will become a  symposium rather than a competition.  Artists will be invited to let their creative side run wild and create sculptures in their own individual  style.  A People Choice and Artist Choice will be announced at the Everyone is a Winner Ceremony on  Sunday afternoon, February 17 at 2 p.m.

One or two person teams create works of art from an 8' high x 4' wide x 4' deep block of snow within a 20' x 20' area and each snow sculpture is as unique as the artists that create them.  The twelve pristine sculptures create a ephemeral sculpture garden for the Silver Skate audience to enjoy.

Inquiries from around the world are always being received and the Silver Skate team is working hard to nurture this growth and we look forward to expanding this programming at future festivals.

The Snow Sculptures will be up the duration of the Silver Skate Festival February 15 -24, 2013.  We invite you to come down and view these spectacular works of art at your leisure.  Symposium starts at 9 am February 15, 2013.
